Zbyněk Paďourek in 2010 replaced the founder member Jan Jíša who was unable to continue due to health reasons. Zbyněk Paďourek’s has made a valuable contribution to the activities of the Quartet thanks to his many years’ experience as a member of the Kocián Quartet which, among other awards, received the Charles Cross Award in Paris in 1997 for their recording of the complete Paul Hindemith quartets. Zbyněk Paďourek studied the violin at the Conservatoire in Pilsen where he has returned as a teacher, and the viola at the Academy in Prague.
